MSNCFO Work Experience

MSNCFO provides many opportunities to intermediate accounting students. Throughout my 3.5 years of working with the company, I was able to improve my existing skills, and generate many new ones. Through diversification, client interactivity, and mentorship, MSNCFO provides a one of a kind experience to any future accounting professional.
The most significant benefit MSNCFO provides is diversification. MSNCFO is a company that specializes in providing financial accounting, management accounting, and business planning services to struggling and expanding companies. These general services are very broadly defined, which allows an employee to experience many different aspects of the finance and accounting world. Generating financial statements, budgeting and forecasting services, assisting with various types of audits, and consolidation work are only a few of the many different types of accounting services I learned to provide throughout my time there. The experience these services provided not only helped in helping me understand various academic issues, but also gave me a great strength when recruiting for future career positions.
Learning how to solve complex accounting issues is only one aspect of a career in accounting. In order to be successful, learning how to interact with various types of clients is a cornerstone skill. MSNCFO exceptionally provides this opportunity to its employees. Considering the MSN team is rather small, each team member is an integral part of the operations. Therefore, it is inevitable that each employee will need to interact with various clients to obtain necessary information. There have been many instances where I have hosted conference calls, met with auditors, or interacted with business owners in order to carry out our services, all of which have strengthened my confidence and ability to interact with clients.
Finally, and perhaps the most personal aspect of the company, is the mentorship that is provided by MSNCFO President/CEO, Mohamed Noohu. While Mr. Noohu holds his employees accountable for their work and behavior, he understands that we as student employees are still learning, and that the work environment differs heavily from the academic world. He is always available for questions, takes his own personal time to make sure each employee understands the significance of their work, and stresses constructive criticism rather than frustrated reprimanding. Essentially, MSNCFO employees view Mr. Noohu as a teacher before an employer, an aspect which is becoming increasingly rare to find in this fast-paced, competitive environment.
Ultimately, the MSNCFO experience is one that is truly memorable and unique. The skills and guidance I received there helped secure my position as a future staff accountant at a reputable, mid-tier accounting firm. I am sure that any student who pursues an employment opportunity with MSNCFO will experience the long-term success that they are working so hard to achieve.
